CONSOLE GET

I got a fucking Nintendo DS. WHOOOOO. Okay, I'm done spazzing out now. I've had it for three days already. Anyway, it's a slightly used one I got at GameStop for about $80 or so, it's in black, and I bought both a travel kit and a case to keep it in, even though my coat pockets have more than enough room for it. xD Oh well, better safe than sorry. I was only able to buy two games for it, with the money I had left over. I was only allotted $200 to take out of my savings for this (I didn't have the money saved at all, but I badly wanted to get this for myself), so I just bought Crash of the Titans DS (awesomesauce) and Spore Hero Arena (kinda 'meh'. I'm amazed that it doesn't get noticed like a cell phone or mp3 player. I almost feel odd for taking the thing to school. Almost, hurr.

On a related subject, I also have Spore: Galactic Adventures for the PC. This expansion pack is surprisingly good, with the adventure editor and added accessories to creatures and such. Well worth the money. Creating adventures is the most fun part, because the editing interface is far more advanced than I was expecting. My own Aurian adventures aren't going to be released on my Spore homepage for a while though, as I have tons of editing to do to them.
There's also Halo 3 ODST that I got quite a while ago. Bungie definitely added a few new things to the table with this one, although campaign is short it does make up for it by including three new Halo 3 maps and the multiplayer itself. That's not to say Firefight sucks, but it could've been better.

Geebus crackers, I have not had any time for a lot of things at all lately, and the DS isn't going to help. xD Sophomore year has proved to have a larger workload than I expected, but that does not mean I'm going to have a lazy Freshman attitude. Not that I had one in the first place, mind, but I feel like I'm slacking a bit when I could be running at full potential. Well, I do my classwork, so I already have As or A+s in everything anyway, except for in Biology. Our teacher is too damn picky, and we make one mistake and she marks off ten fucking points off a worksheet. Ten. Fucking. Points. Just because I forgot to put what the date was. Am I the only one seeing this faggotry? Urrghh...


Projects

I need to get off my lazy procrastinating ass and do something. I've wanted to do an animation project for a long, long time, and there's also unfinished gift arts I must do (Pocky, I'm really head-desking for forgetting your Wolf Link and dragon Martha pictures. I swear to god I'm getting them done during Thanksgiving vacation if it's the last thing I do).
I've been trying to work on Aurian Starfighters Academy in my spare time. The major revamps have added a lot of new stuff, and I should probably upload a few screenshots when I can. There's been progress, it's just that I have so little encouragement on the project and it's getting hard for me to continue.
Speaking of which, I'm really trying to do things, but I've literally lost all forms of motivation. Like, for real. Someone... halp?


Upcoming releases; expect fangirlsism

Okay, if I'm not mistaken, Black Mesa, the complete Source Engine re-do of Half-Life 1 from a devoted mod team, IS COMING OUT DURING VACATION. Fuck yes. I seriously cannot wait for its release - for something done by a mod team, the graphics are just damn incredible. New physics have even been improved upon from the original engine, if I'm not mistaken. Finally I can experience Half-Life without the usual 'old graphics giving Eris major headaches' I go through.
Also coming up is Left 4 Dead 2, but to be honest I have little interest in that game. It's likely my father is going to get it, so I guess I'll check it out at some point.


Anime Club stuff

NHSS has a little anime club that our gang organized, and will most likely have a dA account at some point, I'm not sure. But at any rate, I'm hoping I won't be doing anything this Friday so I can come, once again. Last week I wasn't there due to DS'ege and getting a swine flu immunization. It's most likely that I wan't be paying too much attention to whatever's going on this week, due to drawing and ... DS'ege. Yeah, I'm easily distracted. Oh look, a shiny thing.
OH yeah, I'm sorta drawing a comic for our awesomeness group of awesome, although as I've said with the procrastination... it's taking a while. >.> *beaten to death by Sockninja*
